Birgit Kupke-Peyla, studio artist, certified goldsmith and
award winning designer,moved to California in 1990 and set up shop. The style she developed, a repetition of bars soldered onto mixed metals with contrasting stripes—sterling overlaid on gold
and gold on sterling—layer upon layer of pattern and geometric form, imprinted with contrasting patterns, makes her jewelry distinctive.
Birgit's designs have a recognizable signature.
“I’ve always been very shape-oriented. I tend to connect to strong, quiet shapes.”
For the last decade she has sold her work to galleries throughout the United States and exhibited her work in Fine Art & Craft Shows.
